Outward Bound South Africa is a proud member of an international community through Outward Bound International with successful experiential education programs being facilitated throughout the World.

My name is Kate Grady and I have been working as an intern with Outward Bound for the past 2 months. I am currently finishing my third year at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. My studies are focused on Communications and Psychology, my passion lying in the marketing field.

‘Eye-opening, mind changing and challenging adventure it was. One gets to explore and appreciate nature and life as it is. I found loads of encouragement from most members. I also realized that coming to this type of place actually prepares me for the life that I am going to have. I have found the confidence in me. ‘The Outward Bound camp is one thing a person needs to do because it takes you to a journey of your life of discovery. I’m glad that I faced my fears because now I can face life with an experience. ‘All in all what I can say about the Outward Bound it was a journey of discovery. The reality is that I really enjoyed to be part of this and by doing it I explored new things, that some of were good and some were not, most especially the hikes. They were tough, but I told myself nothing is impossible in this life, more especially if there are people around you and give you support.
