The camp helped me to search and get to know myself and my abilities. The camp trained and prepared me of what life is and how to approach problems coming my way.
Sleeping outside made me step out of my comfort zone and was a test of will I can adapt to new things of which I think I passed. It taught me independency because I had to sustain the food that was given to us so that it could last through out the whole camp. It gave me an opportunity to know my teammates better and bond with them.
The camp was a great experience and it armed me with ambition that I will need and use in life. It showed me nothing is impossible.”

“From all the activities we did, I learnt to be responsible, overcome obstacles, face my fears, to work well with my team mates and to cope out of my comfort zone. Some of the activities changed my perceptive about myself and my life.
I believe that without the help of Outward ward bound camp I wouldn’t have had overcome my fears and have positive perceptions about life. Thank you, hope to be with you again in future.”

“All the things that I have learned during the camp are helping me build up a way of reaching my goals in life. Although some of the activities we did were a bit difficult and scary, I told myself I can do it. That also applies to my studies and my personal life; if something strikes I can handle it.
This whole experience helped me to be a better person in terms of being responsible, persevere, team-work, discipline and having enough confidence to share my views and listen to other ones views.
Thank you one again for helping me see things differently. I hope you continue doing this work that can change young people’s life.”

“The overall camp was superb, meaningful and an eye-opener, it gave me a chance to explore unlimitedly. Now I am aware that when times are tough you have to persist until you find your way and when you fall just get, dust yourself off and soldier on. I have discovered something new about myself, like I never knew that I can work in a team successfully and I am more confident than I thought. Now I can face my fears and conquer them with ease because of the knowledge that I got during the outward bound camp.
I would like to thank you for changing me into a better person. Your work is unarguably outstanding and remarkable. May you grow from strength to strength.”Wandile Mlomo
